So in this article, we’ll do a short review of PewDiePie’s headphones. Besides that, we’ll also take a look at what headsets do other high profile YouTubers, and streamers use.

You will learn all the main quirks and features of PewDiePie’s headphones. But what’s most important, you’ll find out where to get PewDiePie’s headset and how much does it cost. So let’s take a look at what headset does PewDiePie use.

PewDiePie uses custom red-colored Razer Nari Ultimate wireless gaming headset. It’s a compact and sturdy headset that has a high-quality microphone. Of course, PewDiePie’s headset is in PewDiePie’s color scheme, and it has the brofist on the outside and the inside of the earcups as well. PewDiePie’s headset is available for sale to everyone. A headset that PewDiePie has cost approximately $200.

But if you’re willing to become the ultimate bro, you will have to spend some time to find a trustworthy seller of PewDiePie’s headset.

As PewDiePie’s headset is not listed on the official Razer website anymore, your best option to get the desired headset might be this listing on Amazon.

What you might enjoy about this headset is that brofists on the outside of the earcups will light up when turned on, and just like Pew’s previous headset, it has the classic PewDiePie design as well.

Here is what PewDiePie has said about his new headphones.

I’m so glad I can finally wear these. First thing first, these are cooling gel-infused cushions. Very underrated. It feels so good. I don’t know about you. When you wear headphones for too long, it gets uncomfortable and hot, whereas this feels so nice. I love it.

Of course, besides the unique design, Razer Nari Ultimate PewDiePie Edition is a headset that’s designed specifically for gaming. It has a retractable active noise-canceling mic and the previously mentioned cooling gel-infused cushions for making long gaming sessions more comfortable.

Currently, there are three different Razer Nari Ultimate wireless gaming headsets available on their website:

  • Black
  • Overwatch Lucio Edition
  • Xbox One

Both Black and Xbox One headsets cost $199.99, but the Overwatch Lucio Edition costs $229.99, and it has a yellow, blue, and green color scheme going on.

Note that Razer Nari Ultimate PewDiePie Edition currently is not available for purchase on the Razer website.

When searching for PewDiePie’s headset, usually, various Indian and Indonesian websites sell it. Still, it is possible to find few listings of the PewDiePie headphones on Amazon and Walmart as well.

Note that on Walmart’s website, PewDiePie headphones cost $299.99.

PewDiePie Headphones Review

Now let’s review some of the main PewDiePie’s headset features.

After that, we’ll reveal what headsets do other streamers use. But to keep you interested, we can tell that Tfue uses the most expensive headset among other streamers. His Sennheiser HD 800 S headset cost $1,399.95. Tfue’s headset, on average, is five times more expensive than headsets other high profile streamers use.

Anyway, back to PewDiePie headphones. Here are some of its main features.

  • Weight – 1.01 lbs (458 g)
  • Frequency response – 20 Hz – 20 kHz
  • Virtual surround encoding – THX Spatial
  • Wireless range – 40 ft (12 m)
  • Battery life – 8 hours with Razer Chroma lighting and HyperSense / 20 hours without Razer Chroma lighting and HyperSense
  • Connection type – Wireless USB Transceiver / 3.5 mm analog

Here is THX Spatial Audio explained by Razer.

“THX Spatial Audio goes beyond traditional surround sound by simulating sound in a 360° sphere around you. With the Razer Nari Ultimate, you can now react to any in-game movement, even if it’s coming from above or beneath you, giving you heightened senses during your game. Unleash your predatory instincts with sound as a weapon.”

THX Spatial Audio isn’t entirely compatible with Windows 10. It’s stuck as a 7.1 surround sound solution.

So regarding THX Spatial Audio, you could also consider ditching it and getting either Windows Sonic for Headphones or Dolby Atmos for Headphones instead. Bot of these uses the audio object metadata to position the audio anywhere within a full 360-degree space correctly.

PewDiePie’s headphones are compatible with PC and the PS4. For the Xbox One, Razer has a separate headset that’s available for purchase on their website. For all Razer Nari Ultimate headsets, both wired and wireless connections are possible.

If you’re looking for a noise-canceling headset, then you will have to look for another headset. Razer Nari Ultimate are not noise-canceling headphones.

System requirements to run PewDiePie’s headphones.

  • PC with USB port; PS4
  • Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7
  • Internet connection for driver installation
  • At least 500 MB of free hard disk space

To customize this headset, you will have to download Razer Synapse – the hardware configuration tool. It gets you advanced options and granular control as you rebind buttons, assign macros, personalize device lighting, and more.

Note that three on-earcup buttons will allow you to change the volume of the headphones and the game chat. And there is a separate button to mute the device as well.

Here is what people who own Razer Nari Ultimate PewDiePie Edition headset has to say about it.

Everyone in party chat hates the mic, though. I have one friend who says he likes it. I sound distant to them, they say, and I have no way to change that. I can only use these when I’m playing solo. The headset vibrates when there is a loud noise, which is a cool concept, but I’d like to turn it off now and then.” (Josh, Amazon.com)

The “cooling gel earcups” aren’t noticeable, but they are surprisingly comfortable. The overall build quality is nice too. I wish they used a smidge more metal but whatever. All in all, it’s a pretty great headset.” (Hunter Drury, Amazon.com)

I like to know what I hear rather than hear every ounce of detail, and I feel that these headphones are so sensitive that they’re distracting. Again, the sound quality is amazing, and they’re amazingly noise canceling, but I can’t game with them.” (Scarlett Truong, Amazon.com)

Had a little trouble connecting them to Razer Synapse for the RGB customization, but when it finally connected, it was amazing. The THX Spatial audio is incredible, and the Haptic feedback is out of this world.” (Ben Carter, Amazon.com)

Most of Razer Nari Ultimate reviews are positive, but of course, there are several negative comments as well. Most of the negative comments are about the bad quality of the microphone, connectivity issues and battery life being too short.

It seems like no one is complaining about PewDiePie headphone’s build quality and the price.

PewDiePie Headset VS Other Streamer Headsets

So we already mentioned Tfue and his $1,399.95 headset. Well, technically, those are $1,399.95 headphones because they don’t have a pre-installed microphone. So Tfue has to use an external microphone. He uses Shure SM7B microphone, and the RODE PSA 1 Professional Studio Boom Arm.

Compared to PewDiePie’s $199.99 headphones, Tfue’s setup costs $1,937.95, which is almost ten times more.

Other streamers use noticeably cheaper headsets. Usually, they cost around $170.00.
